LATE LOCALS.

In connection with the proposed picnic for mental hospital patients, and the invitation to the general public to assist financially, it is hardly necessary for us to commend the appeal to our readers. Anything that will tend to mitigate the sufferings of the unfortunate inmates should have the hearty support of the townspeople. The picnic is proposed to he hold on Monday next, and any donations in cash or kind will ho gratefully receivel by the Superintendent, or may he left at the “Guardian” Office. AVe trust the appeal will be substantially supported.
