WELLINGTON, January 7. Tbe Plnnket Shield match, Otago v. Wellington was continued to-day, Wellington with five wickets down for 209, continued their innings. The remainder of the wickets soon foil, the total realised being 272. Burton made 49, being the highest scorer of the remaining batsmen. Carlton took four wickets for 73, and Shepherd three for 19. Otago, in the second innings made 88, McMullan scored 34, Conradi 30, Siedeherg 26, Duncan 23, and Shepherd 21. In the bowlirtg Barclay took four wickets for 19, Henderson three for 34, and McGirr 2 for 58.
Requiring 126 to win, Wellington commenced their second innings in fi light drizzle. At the hour for drawing stumps, the captain decided that, as Wellington required only 26 to win, that play should be continued. This was done. Hiddleston made 77 not out Baker 47 not out. Wellington won by 10 wickets.
