THE IRISH PROBLEM
lUBTRALIAN AND H.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. CORK CAPITALISTS. LONDON, Dec. 30. Th Cork Chamber of Commerce and Slipping have unanimously resolved that the ratification of the Irish Treaty is absolutely necessary to Ireland’s future prosperity, and that it is earnestly desired by the entire commercial community. ULSTER CLERIC’S APPEAL. LONDON. Dec 29. The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in the course of an appeal for special prayers in Ireland said: “We have been grieviously disappointed by the recent attitude and of actions of responsible British statesmen in whom we had implicit confidence. The course of procedure leading to the so called settlement of Trish laffalirs has been characterised with great plainness of speech by men who felt it did not attain- the level of honourable dealing. It has now, I think passed. We must try to relate ourselves to the existing situation in a wav consistent with our honour and self-respect.”
