Work at the Waikato coal mines has been interrupted during file last two d:,\s, owing to a shortage of railway trucks.
The Taupiri miners were idle yesterday afternoon, and again this afternoon, while work ceased ul I'uki'iiiii -' ai half past two yesterday and at 11 to-day. The shortage of trucks is mainly due in the usual withdrawal ol a large iiiinihei' in order to prepare them lor passenger traffic to the Fllerslle races next week.
