They showed complete knowledge of the horse and habits of the occupants. , They held up the steward with rifles I and decamped with wages intended for i the servants. Volunteers scoured the j countryside without result. j DAIL EIREANN PROTESTS, i LONDON, December 18. The Dail Eireann Cabinet has issued a statement condemning the attacks on British forces, and declaring attacks are not committed by Republican forces. Cabinet authorises a strict investigation into four attacks in which two British were killed. ! MORE BELFAST TROUBLE, j Received This Day at 12.25 p.m.) j LONDON, December 18. !' Rioting at Belfast was continued! I throughout Saturday night. A man ' was killed in addition to eight wound | ed, who included fou r women, several i seriously. All were protestants, except ! a woman who was hit by a chance shot, while searching for her husband. Catholic shops were looted in revenge. The police thus far have made forty arrests. Military at Balmoral show grounds surprised a party of Sinn Feiners raiding a rifle store. When tho miliI tary opened fire, the raiders replied with revolvers, as they fled. Tlrrce rai- | ders were wounded and another hayonetted. Two others were captured.
