The Council rose at 4.59. THE HOUSE. Hie House met at 2.30 p.m. The following Bills were introduced by Governor’s message and read a first time—Life Insurance Amendment. Valuation Land Amendment, Insurance Companies Deposits. At the evening sitting tiie Counties Amendment and public contracts and local bodies contractors amendment hills were put through committee without amendment, read a third time and passed. The Finance Bill was read a second time on the voices and the House rose at 1.55 a.m.
