INDIAN UNREST.
AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. INDIAN AFFAIRS LONDON, Dee 8 It is understood the authorities of India are impressing on the Home Government the necessity of an early settlement of the Turkish question as the Khalifat agitation is likely to become increasinglv violent and dangerous, until a satisfactory announcement is made. On the eve of Prince’s arrival at Lucknow, the authorities arrested Motl Lai Nehru, a prominent Extremist Leader, of the United Provinces, and the only successful Indian barrister who ceased practice in accordance with Ghandi’s advice; also three other Extremists including Joseph, an Indian Cliristian, who is editor of an Extremist newspaper.
