POULARD’S PICTURES. “THE TURN OK THE ROAD” TONIGHT. i To-night Pollards are presenting a special Robinson Cole production entitled “Tlio Turn in tlie Road” all-star caste fire reels. Rove is the keyntpte of “The Turn in the Road.” a photo- , drama written and produced tinder the detection of King W. Vidor, one of the most talented of young writers for the screen, who lias succeeded in making his drama a veriole of love through the medium of a child. A man who has boon brought up in fit© fear of God, loses his faith when his bride of a year i dies in child-birth, goes down into the j depths, and becomes an agnostic and a derelict. After years of vain search for tlic truth he is regenerated by the simple faith of a child, his own. whom he had deserted. The human note is dominant throughout, while pathos, who some humor and a tender love story combine, to make the picture one of the most appealing screen dramas ever produced. Riot finally, the production is a masterpiece of artistic beauty, mid the realism is accentuated by a vivid storm scene during a big dramatic climax. Pollard’s symphony orchestra will supply a tip-ton musical programme.
