A SAD FAREWELL.
. QI’KKX ALEXANDRA’S LAMENT. •• THE TIMES ” SERVICE. ' Received This Day at 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 18. Queen Alexandra in a pathetic message to the Nineteenth*Hussars, which have arrived from India for disbandonineiit, says, with sorrow no words can express, I take farewell of my Regiment. I always hoped, that long after I am gone, the regiment would stilt exist, and maintain its glorious traditions. I have been proud to think the Regiment has borne my name, world nide, and hoped my memory might be associated with its traditions, but it has been ruled otherwise. I made every effort to save the Regiment,'without avail, and now see it swept away. To me the blow is bad enough; to you it must be terrible. I bid farewell to my dear Regiment with unspeakable sadness. I sign myself, for the last time— Alexandra, Colonel-in-Chief. ,
