All great endeavour is founded on character. Lately in New Zealand there has been among the young a moral land slide. Thirdly, the League aims to form clubs of all kinds, for mental, moral and physical culture, so as to build up the best nation here that the world has seen. It was mentioned that in Auckland a monthly magazine “The_ A’oung Citizen” was published with a circulation of 9000, reaching the schools and homes of the people and it eyas doing good work in their aim ol uplifting tho younger generation. The addresses were closely followed, and heartily applauded. After a question or two had hew asked, Mr R. Wild moved that a branch of the Young Citizens League he formed id Hokitika, expressing appreciation of tile aim of the movement. The Rev Mr Pun-lias seconded the motion, stating that the movement was one that should have their hearty support. Tlie motion was agreed to unanimously. Mr S. J.
