A I.4rg’c- gathering of members of Lodge AVestlaml U.A.0.D., assembled ] at the lodge room on Thursday evening to welcome their Grand President Bro. Lee Alartin, who is making nn official 1 visit to the Lodges nn the (‘mist, i Druid Brn, J-. Cutiiiii'g presided over . the meeting and extended a hearty I welcome to their president and in well- . chosen remarks he trusted that the | visit won Id he of benefit to the lodges , of Xu. 13 district. G.P. Bro. Lee Martin thanked the brothers for their j kindly welcome extended to hint on this his first official visit-. His stay, though of short duration, was tliadfi very enjoyable through Hit) cfiurtfisv of the hfotiiOrsi He was aide to see the places of interest in this district, including a trip tii the Rirnu Flat dredge and also,a run to Kanicri Lake. Beth these outings he enjoyed exceedingly, Hilil they would long he remembered. He paid a high tribute to the officers of the Lodge for the manner in which it was conducted and it gave him great pleasure to note the strides that the T.odge had madfe recently in the matter of membership. The G.P. concluded hv giving a lengthy discourse on the work the Grand Executive were engaged in, and the various propositions wuich they had before them for the benefit of Lodges under the N.l. Jurisdiction. After tho business of ti e Lodge was transacted, the Lodge adjourned and a social was held in honor rtf the occasion whicll proved Vely ShcheKsful. The visitors were G.P. Pro.J/ee Martiu, P.G.P. Bro. J. Tennent. D.P. Bro. J. Guy P A Bro. R. Bnrrowman, I’.A. Pro.’ Power, P.A. Bro. F. Turley. A lengthy toast was done honor to. Items were given by P.A. Bro. F. Groufsky, P.G.P. Bro. Tennent, A.D. Bro. J. Conning, Bros. A. Dowell. D. Christensen, J. J. AA illiams, E. (. Toohey, AV. Smith, and J., M- and A. Laughton. The singing of Ailld Lang Svuo concluded the gathering.
