Education Amendment
A LOYALTY ('LAPSE. SCKCIAI. TO (iUAUDIAN. WELLINGTON. Del. 27 The Education Amendment Rill, introduced to-night, provide- i!n> f tent hers in any public schools, secondary or technical schools, shall take the oath of allegiance. It makes provision for the‘establishment of special classes or children who through jffivsical infirmity, absence from school or other circumstances require special tuition. New clauses are provided for the registration and annual inspection of private ' schools. No private school shall Ik- established after the passing of tiie Act unless the Director of Education is satisfied that the premises are -afe and equipment and curriculum arc satisfactory. Instruction is to be as -lliciem as in a public school of tl same class and suitable provision is to he made for the inculcation in the minds of the pupils of sentiments of patriotism and loyalty. The Director of Education has power to cancer the registration of any private school which ceases to Ik- efficient. There are varints other provisions.
