Government authorised the sale of Ireer and wines on doctors’ prescriptions, practically without restriction. Prohibitionists are up in arms. They Lave prevented the sale since March, when the Courts ruled that medicinal beer and wines were legal, and legislation pending in Congress, but Government refused to withhold longer the legal rights of the unities concerned.
OPENING DATE POSTPONED. WASHINGTON, October 25. The State Department has announced that the opening of the Armament Conference has been postponed to 12th. November.
