THE BABY SHOW
-The baby show held in St Marys Club Rooms on Labour Hay proved quite a popular attraction No ess than 35 balden were entered for tho judges’ opinions. The babies were a fine healthy lot of little West Coasters and were most favourably commented on l)v all admirers. The judging waa in the capable hands of Dr Teiehelmann and Matron Little. Their task was itn■bmbtedly a hard one and the committee' desires to express the keen appreciation of thir services. The plain and fancy work stall had a most busy time and the itall holders found that their profits far exceeded all expectations. The following babies were accorded the prize*. SECTION I. Girls under 2 years and over 10 months Joyce Durham 1. Gladys Wells (Kanieri) '2nd. ]sc)vs uiulor J years and over 10 months: Jack Leslie 1, James Kavani,idi 2nd. SECTION 11. Girls under 10 months:— Gladys Harris (Kanieri) Ist. Frances Orr 2nd. IJovs under 10 months:-Clifford Main's (Kokatahi) Ist. Rom llrown 2nd. The winners each received tropliias in gold and silver. Thd day concluded with a euchre and dam-" iii the evening.
