In connection with the Irish Confidence, the Truce sub-committee of the Conference discussed means of strengthening the truis v . The British representatives said there were many ways in which the truce was lwiiic evaded, including a commandeering of Government property and trailing of Sinn Eein forces. The Irish delegates met those allegations. They also made charges against Gnat Brritwin for not observing the truce.
The Irish delegates urged that the whole matter was hound up with the question of tRe Irishmen now interned as prisoners, who number more than 3250. They said that the release of these prisoners would he tv great factor in easing the situation. The British delegate, replied, abjecting to such release. They said it would h’’vc a prejudicial effect in the event of tlie Conference failing.

LONDON, Oct. 13. The Irish Conference has adjourned till to-morrow. The official communique gave nothing beyond the names of delegates. The fact that Lord Stantfordham arrived at Downing Street shortly after the adjournment and remained for some time is being commented upon ; also the police action is dispersing crowds at the Irish demon strations on the ground that they were interfering with traffic- The demonstrators quietly acquiesced.
