LATE LOCALS
Some wreckage was washed ashore near the Three Mile yesterday. It consists of a ship’s derrick and ’he blocks and tackle thereof. Tile derrick was made of Baltic pine and was covered to some extent by marine growth. j Tlie following will represent Marist Brothers (Grey) fourth fifteen, at Hokitika. on Saturday against tin- Hokitika District High School team :—McKnanev, Quinn, James, Klomnahao *3), Dinmnd. Cotter, Kiely, -Machejelski, Lake, Dooga.ii, Nelson, Jackson, King. Tlie Westland Sub-Union last evening again discussed the recent disqualifications imposed by them. The meeting was attended by a representative of the West Coast Rugby Union. It was decided to once none adjourn the question, and to finally deal with it at a special meeting to he held on Friday night next. The Grey “Argus” says—On the new railway line to Point Elizabeth, the work of plate-laying on the remaining section is being commenced to-day. This work has been suspended some little time by work at cuttings and fillings. So far a mile has been laid with plates, and two miles remain to lie completed.
