TO-AIORROW’S GAAIES. The senior championship fixtures will be concluded to-morrow with interest in the games continued to the very last by the position of the leading teams. Kumara meet Excelsiors on Cass Square at 3 p.m. A win for Kumara will make them champions while a draw would bring them level with Kiwis if the latter are successful at Ross, so that the results will bo awaited with interest. The points of the several teams now are as follows: —Kumara 17; Kiwis 16; Excelsiors 14; Diggers 12; Kokatahi 3; Rimu 5; Ross 2. The junior fixtures for to-morrow are Excelsiors v. R.iniu at Rimu nt 3 p.m. and Kokatahi v. Ross nt Ros< nt 1.30 p.m. The following will represent Excelsior seniors in their match with Kumara on Cass Square at 3 p.m. to-morrow:— AYogan N., King, Wogan A.. Air Woods offered to arrange that Rimu juniors play Excelsiors at Hokitika is possible at 1.30. Protest from Kiwi Club against Stevens, Kumara five-eighth not being a bona-fide resident. Stevens was a resident fourteen days prior to the day on which the match was postponed. Held that he was a bona fide resident. He joined Kumara Club on July 18th..--mid had played for Kumara in a friendly game. The protest alleged that Stevens was not a bona, fide resident, owing to being sent on to Grey Post Office two or three da vs before the match took place.

Much discussion took place and finally Mr Woods moved that the protest be dismissed. Seconded by Mr A. Askew. Mr D. Dowell moved an amendment that he matter be sent to W.C.R.U. to decide. Seconded by Mr A. Cutbush. The amendment was defeated and motion carried by 8 votes to 3. Mention was made that tlio Kiwi team would appeal to W.C.R.U. The Union resolved in the case of appeal no fresh evidence to he admitted. Red Lion v. Westland August 27th. The local rep team to he picked on Saturday night. Th G school boys were given the right to play a match with junior reps on Wednesday 24th., the gate, receipts to go to the school. Saturday Sept. 10th. was set down lo ra seven-a-sid© tournament to be held in Kumara.
