The “Central News” states do Valera sent an interim reply to Cabinet to-day. It is not a final answer, but is incidental to the negotiations. It is understood it is less favourable than was anticipated.
ULSTER CAPITAL. LONDON, July 27
The Armagh City Chamber of Com. mo roe has memorialised the Northern (Ulster) Government and has urged the claims of the city of Armagh, which is already the ecclesiastical capital of Ulster, to become the seat of the Northern Parliament, and also the political capital of Ireland. An official reply points out that the “Government of jreland Act” has specified Belfast as the seat of the Northern Parliament, which, Tt says, is a final decision.

According to a Dublin report it is understood that at a meeting of the Dail Eireann Cabinet the critical stage of the negotiations wrts passed and a happy decision reached.
The official statement will be made in a few 1 davs.
The next step will be, a full meeting of Dail Errean to review the whole situation.
