from prison. Mr Fitzgerald declares:—‘There is no reason why Mr De Valera should meet the Ulsterites at the present stage of our negotiations, which are with Mr Lloyd George. If he (Mr Lloyd George) thinks that it is desirable to i onsult Ulster, that is a matter for himself. Mr De Valera will not either refuse, or accept, any definite suggestions for it settlement which may he the outcome of the Downing Street talks, without first submitting them to the Dail Eireann.
