From James Thomson, applying for slaughtering license within Borough.— j Received and recommended. Owing to some residents depositing rubbish about the town oil other than rubbish depot, it was resolved to take action against any offenders in future. Specifications in connection with lease of reserve- No. 312 (2 acres) foi one year were read and approved of, and tenders opened as follows: —C. Black, Cl2 ss; H. McMullan, £lO 12s (sd. The tender of C. Black was accepted. It was resolved to call tenders returnable at next meeting for grazing rights of Recreation for one year and for a live years’ lease of freehold section adjoining cemetery. C’r Thomson gave notice to move at next’ meeting that the Town Clerk’s salary he increased. The meeting then terminated.
