According to the Vossicli Zeitung, Doctor Mayer, the German Ambassador to France, refused an invitation to form a Cabinet composed of members of Majority Democrats and German Peoples parties, who favour non-compliance with the Allies ultimatum. The opinions of members of the Central Party are evenly divided. AMERICA’S DESIRE. (Received This Day at 8.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, May 9. It is announced the United States Government desires Germany to accept the Allies latest reparations demand. DECIDING THE ULTIMATUM REPLY. BERLIN, May 9. The Premiers of all ‘German States have been summoned to Berlin to participate in the deliberations regarding the ultimatum. The parties in the Reichstag will decide their attitude to-day.
