Air McLean .presents the special attraction “Jack Straw,” a Paramount screen version of AY .Somerset Alaugliam’s play starring Robert AVnrwick. The tale of nil iceman waiter who poscd as an arch-duke to win the daughter of newly rich snobs and got her! A load of ice, a waiter’s tray and a woman —Jack could handle them all. When he changed his waiter’es garb for the trappings of an archduke and went to making love among the rich, he had some great- sport until—But why mention one great scene? This picture has a- dozen. All as full of fun, surprise and appealing romance as the ic-enutn hero is full of nerves. They had struck oil and a million dollars, and had planned a triumphal entry into society with a real live duke as a guest of honour. Mother had announced herself as the proud mamma of a prospective archduchess. and then in front of all the social elect, the Archduke was exposed as a waiter. McLean’s full orchestra will supply the incidental music to a capital programme.
