AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE,ASSOCIATION. CONTRADICTOR Y TELEGRAMS. LONDON, April 4. Highly contradictory telegrams are coming from Vienna. Some state that Karl has gone, some state he is going ami some that he has no intention of going unless the Allies turn him out. The “Daily Chronicle’s” correspondent reached Steinmange on Saturday. He says there is a camp of out-and-out lvarlists there, and the Cabinet at Budapest, ho is equally convinced, are Karlists. “Karl’s closest supporters tell me his Majesty has not the least intention of leaving Hungary. I visited the Bishop’s Palace and saw Karl who looked grave, but happy. His supporters at the Palace say they will not leave so long as no French or English troops are sent against Karl, but the latter are prepared to stand by the Treaty signed at Triannan. Karl has 15,01X1 supporters already at his disposal, and practically the whole of the Hungarian Army is behind him. 'lo Hungarians, Karl offers a complete cessation of the white terror and promises the secession states that he will not seek any exension of his kingdom, being quite content to reign as a national Hungarian king. The correspondent says it is evident from the impression being spread abroad that Karl is being prevented from assuming his rights in order that no excuse he given to secession States to interfere. When that trouble is averted Karl will he crowned in Budapest.
