The boxing match for the lightweight championship of New Zealand and a purse of £170,' between Jack Keenan of Auckland (holder) and Frank O’Neill of Runanga, took place on Saturday night and after a good go, victory went to Frank O’Neill on points at the end of the 15 rounds. At Granity on Saturday night Snowy Griffiths 10.2, beat Bull Neilson 10.3 on points; Thomas (Wanganui) beat Fobbo (Blackball) on points; MeClenry (Chiristcliu’rch) 11.10 beat Whittaker (Dunedin) 12.6, on points.
