A secret inquiry has been instituted into the administration at Cockatoo Island dock. No information was given to the press, but it is unofficially learned that over one hundred thousand sterling worth of materials is missing and unaccounted for. It is stated in exhaustive examination revefaled leak ages totalling a quarter of a million. A commission with a wider scope will probably be appointed. v WHEAT PRICES. MKLBONRNE, Mar. 23. Australian Wheat Bgard has reduced the price of flour for Africa, East and inland to 7/11 and it is understood shipping companies are reducing freights on 4th. April to 50/- per ton to Java and 60/- to Singapore which is a reduction of lOy- per ton.
