The Police, Court this morning investigated the ease against Harold Unit —a charge of assault and actual bodily harm. Sergeant Wade asked I for a remand to the 23rd inst, and this was granted,’ hail being allowed, self in £IOO and two sureties of £IOO. It appears that the accused, with two others, went to the freezing work’s cookhouse after hours and demanded a meal. A row ensued into "'lnch an automatic pistol was alleged to have been introduced by Hart, two shots being tired. A man named Beveridge, it is said, received one of the bullets in his foot, necessitating his removal to the hospital.

U the wool sale to-day, 11,968 hales were catalogued. There was only one non-dominion buyer. The competition was very weak, only live pci l(! j’ 0 the offerings being quitted, it being at. the current ruling prices. Halthreds were slightly lower than at Dunedin sale, other classes being on a par with that sale.

AUCKLAND, Marc'll 21 Tiie Prices Tribunal conferred with the master butchers in regard to t ic retail prices of meat. After discussion, Mr Spragg (Chairman) compmed the wholesale and retail prices ruling last September, compared with the present prices, and said the difference a, the yards was a drop of 2.(54 pence white the drop retail was only I.D pence.
