ON THE WATERFRONT

(by TLI,LG It A I*l1 —I* Lit ritLSS ASSOCIATION

WAIUXE HOLD UP. WIOI.LINOTOX, March 20

The hold-up of the AVahine still continues, the vessel still being without its complement of firemen and trimmers. Last night the Maori took passengers who intended to sail on the AVahine. The .Maori was a full ship, about 600 making the journey, everyone on the vessel worked hard to meet the contingency, and though the vessel was crowded there was no discomfort. It is stated to-day that there is a probability of the difficulty being overcome early next week, but no official announcement on the subject could be secured.
