WELLINGTON, March 10 The Postmaster-General has agreed to certain modifications of the tariff for press messages recently announced, in order to prevent the charge of short messages which are counted separately, ex< ceding the public rate. Messages for morning papers from offices reopening after 5 p.m. now limited to three hundred words will bo increased to six hundred.
