COSTA RTCA TROUBLE.* (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 27. 1 It is reported a state of war exists between Costa Rica and Panama over a boundary dispute. The situation is further aggravated by Costa Rica’s action in cancelling the British oil concession. Britain has sent a note and i a cruiser to back up the detnands. It is not expected that Britain will take | forcible actiofi without notifying United States, but such notification has not yet been given. It is understood United States sides with Costa Rica, claiming the concession was granted by the discredited Tinoco Government. 1 AMERICAN SECRETARY OF NAVY.
