LATE LOCALS.
Mr Thomas Walsh of Cook River inserts a notice of thanks in this issue. Messrs M. Houston and Co,, will sell by auction in the mart, Camp Street on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock a large quantity of furniture and effects. The Prime Minister, who arrives here on Wednesday evening, will lie entertained at the Town Hall at a public welcome at 8.30 o’clock. The Mayor will preside, and the speakers will include the County Chairman, Hons Michel and Grimmond, and Mr Seddon, M.P. The town and country public are invited to attend in force and accord Mr Massey a fitting welcome. On Thursday morning at 8.45, Mr Massey will be taken to Rimu Flat to inspect the large "electric dredge in course of construction at 10 a.m. public deputations will ho taken at the County Chambers.
