A BIG CONVENTION. (Received This Dav at 8 n.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 28. The Australian Workers Union annual convention lias opened, and delegates representing one hundred thousand members from all States, including New Zealand, are present, TIN MINKS CLOSING. SYDNEY, January 28. Owing to tin falling by £27/10/-, since the new year, the latest quotation being £lO9/15/-, the mines are closing down as unremunerntive. During 191920 production was valued at £410,620 sterling.
