BOWLING

HOKITIKA V. GREY,

The Grey Club sent down a six-rink team (including a rink of colts) on Saturday afternoon to play a game for the Ballinger Buckles, and the visitors had an easy victory, five out of the six rinks winning their games. The green was in capital order and the play very enjoyable. There wore a large number of visitors to watch the play. The visitors. were welcomed by the President (Mr R. S. Galbraith) and after the game, he handed the Buckles over for presentation to the winners (Mr Blair’s rink) congratulating the visitors on i their success, and tho pleasure felt at having-, them on the green. Mr J. S. White (Grey President) in acknowledging welcome, made special mention of the appreciation of the- visitors at t.ie splendid hospitality of the ladies, who i had provided such a very dainty afterI n oon tea. Cheers for both Clubs, the ladies and the Buckles winners closed a very pleasant afternoon. Tho detailed
