Trades Hall officials announce the stewards strike is drawing to a close A meeting of stewards has been called for Monday, when a proposal from Melbourne Trades Union disputes Committee will be discussed. The Seamen’s Union officially announced it is prepared to man ships on conditions prevailing prior to die strike as sixin as the stewards have reached a settlement or declared the strike off.
