ANOTHER BACHELOR’S WALK ~ TRAGEDY.

LONDON, Jan. 13. Three bombs were flung at a police lorry as it was passing along the Bachelor’s Walk, one of Dublin’s leading thoroughfares, and two exploded. The police immediately opened fire with rifles and revolvers. Apparently some Sinn Feiners from a side street replied. There was a wild stampede of the people into the streets nearby. Several women fainted. One Sinn Feiner was seen to fall, but comrades carried him away. No .police casualties were sustained on the lorry.

ATTEMPTED MURDER. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 13. During the performance of a pantomime in sie Empire Theatre, Dublin, three men seized Kennedy, a military clerk, who was standing behind the stalls, and dragged him outside and shot him, hut the wound is not dangerous. They then escaped in a- motor car. Kennedy’s wife was sitting in the stalls, and rushed to his assistance unavailingly. Many of the audience fled from the hall.
