ROSS NEWS.
(Our own Correspondent.)
At a meeting of the committee held last evening, it was decided to hold a public picnic on the Ross recreation ground on Saturday next. A lengthy programme of events lias been arranged for the day and will include several of the items which were on the programme of the sports meeting which were to have been held last Wednesday, but were abandoned owing to clashing with Hokitika races. Given fine weather the outing should prove an enjoyable one. A dance will be held in the Totara Hall in the evening when supper will bo provided.
