Tile world’s champion pacer, the b.g., aged, Author Dillon, trained and driven j by 15. Jarden of Christchurch, will en- ! deavour to lower the Australasian mile I record on the Hokitika racecourse to- ! morrow (Wednesday) afternoon, during the progress of the Westland Trotting Club's meeting. The recent efforts at the Grey Trotting meeting caused much interest, and with the longer course at Hokitika it is confidently expected thatthe time put up at Greymouth will be lowered. The effort will cause much ! added interest to the meeting to-mor-row afternoon.
