For the second day of the Auckland Racing Club's Slimmer Meeting there was dull weather, with an occasional shower. The Governor-General find Lady Jellicoe attended. The course was rather heavy, as the results of heavy rain on Tuesday. The tote took £106,255 V, an increase on last Summer Cup day’of £12,654.1. Results:— Bowen Handicap.—Tressor 1, Lord Bruce 2 Miss Ellice 3. Won by a neck, second a head away. Time 1.16 2-5. Islington Plate, 1 mile.—Gloaming 1, Vespucci 2, King Abbey 3. Won by a neck. Time 1.39.
Electric Handicap.—Golden Bubble 1, Doveelt 2, Winter Wind 3. Won by a length. Time 60 secs. Ponsonliy Hurdles.— Paddington Green 1, Khartoum 2, Thrace 3. Won by a length. Time 3.20. Summer Cup.—Mniolia 1, Tinohoro 2, Trespass 3. Won by a head. Time 2.22.
Criterion Handicap.—Royal Box 1, Winning Hit 2, Kick Off 3. Won by one and a half lengths. Time 1.15 2-5. Wnitemata Handicap.—Canowindra 1, Formalin 2, War Tank 3. Won by two lengths. Time 2.i3 1-5.
