The Falling Prices. “New Zealand has been particularly prosperous for several years, and it is still in a perfectly sound state. But, it cannot continue buying goods on its accustomed sca4e at war prices. Other countries are in the same position and that, simply means that the prices ligve got to come down. The Trade Commissioner, who undoubtedly is an authority, admits that the 1920 prices cannot be maintained indefinitely, but thinks that the talk of a fall in prices is premature. I believe that the fall has begun, though it may Jiot go nearly as far as some people are expecting.”— Auckland opinion.
