LONDON, December 8. The Associated Australian Banks announce that from Friday the rate for negotiating bills on Australia will he 70/- per cent at sight, and additioiiT 12/6 each thirty days. The rate of cable transfers oh.; Australia wiD be reduced from par to 20/- per cent discount.

At the wool sales, 9,369 hales were offered of which 2037 were New Zealand wool. There was a good attendance of Home, Continental and American buyers. About two thousand bales were sold at the Government reserves which were not changed. What was bought was for urgent requirements. Tho prices offered for unsold lots wero 10 and 20 per cent, below November rates. PATRIARCH’S ADVICE LONDON, December 9.
