LONDON, December 7.
Despite a definite announcement that the' millionaire White, the racing man, lias undertaken to pay one hundred thousand to save his friend Sir Thomas Beecham, from bankruptcy, the creditors meeting disclosed that the money was not forthcoming. Beecham is hopeful of selling certain assets himself, and accordingly was given additional time.
BRITISH TRADE’ WITH RUSSIA. LONDON, Dec. 8.
The Soviet Government, in a dispatch, accepts the main provisions of the Anglo-Russian trade agreement, but it requests a further conference to discuss the details.
