HOKITIKA V. GREY. A team of four rinks from the Grey Club' came dowft yesterday afternoon to play a grime for the Ballinger Buckles. The green was on the heavy side though it played fairly well. The game resulted in a somewhat unexpected win for Hokitika, by a substantial margin, the .Ballinger Buckles being seciired for Hokitika. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies and done frill justice to. There were short addresses by the President of the Ideal Club (Mr R. S. Galbraith) and Mr J. Steer (Grey) good | wishes beihg expressed for a pleasant season, whilo the Buckles winners were j selected for special mention. Hearty cheers we're givbn fdr the two clubs, ! the Bhtkles holders and an extra oiie ■ for the ladies, Mr Steer making special j reference tb the welcome refreshments j they had provided.
