A series of fires, believed to be caused by Sinn Feiners, broke ou ip twelve cotton warehouses and several timber yards in Liverpool on Saturday night. The damage amounts to several thousands sterling. Several policemen were shot at oiv ganised outrages in Liverpool, which indicate the commencement of the threatened Sinn Fein attacks in Ehgli .h industrial centres, disclosed in documents captured during the recent Dublin raids. Late last night, more than twelve cotton warehouses and five large timber yards were set on fire. Policemen seized a suspect who produced a revolver and shot a constable dead. The man is named Daniel Ward. It is stated he said that men, believed to be Sinu Feiners set fire to one warehouse. Several fires are still burning. Fire Brigades from neighbouring towns are assisting the local ones. At Bootle, a suburb of Liverpool, six fires were burning simultaneously. The police have issued descriptions, of two young men believed to be Sinn Feiners. THE; LIVERPOOL FIRES. mLONDON, Nov. 28. A civilian, not a- policeman, was shot dead at Liverpool. He was with a policeman and was watching men setting fire to a warehouse when the fatal shot was fired. The policeman had a narrow escape. A point blank shot was fired at him. Warehouses were entered l.v cutting and forcing the locks and bolts. The fires were started simultaneously at both ends of the docks.
