The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting opened to-day. The weather is unpleasant a heavy north west wind blowing, but the track is excellent, and a large attendance. OTAIO HURDLES.—War Hawk, 1, War Tax 2, Warform 3. Scratched Austin. Won by five lengths. Time 3.19 1-5. _ SPRING STAKES—ICIfane 1, Deep Well 2, Bonnie - Mac 3. All started won by two lengths. Time 1.1
