Senator Knox has announced his intention to introduce his resolution for a separate peace with Germany as soon as Congress convenes on 6th Dec. He believes the election result will alter the views of some Democratic Senators who would now vote for over-riding Mr Wilson’s veto of the resolution. BI4NKS CLOSE.. NEW YORK, Nov. 23. The refusal of fanners to sell grain in an attempt to increase the price to three dollars per bushel has caused nine banks in North Dakota to close within ten days. The institutions had granted farmers heavy credits and c°nld not realise on the loans when the grain remained unsold.
