In the House of Representatives, Mr Feiss, Chairman of the Republican Congressional Committee, stated that there was an enormous Republican plurality. It was largely due to the women’s vote. It was not altogether because of the favourable Republican policy towards more progressive measures, which appeal to women’s instinct and sense of right. It was partly due to the pronounced dislike of women for the character of the Cox Democrat campaign, which was an offence to refinement and to a woman’s sense of the nature of public service. '
