(Our Parliamentary Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. Mr Massey read in the House a cablegram from the King asking the people of the Empire to observo armistice day on Thursday by two minutes silence, beginning at eleven o’clock. Mr Massey read a cablegram from the . Director of Materials reporting that on September 30th stocks of wool in England included 765,000 bales of New Zea. land, and 1,870,000 bales of Australian. He confirmed the weak market and especially low offers by Argentine and Australian sellers, made it impossible to expect coarse and medium wools to maintain the recent prices, but the au_ thoritiea were doing fheir best to make the fall as small as possible. The Minister for Agriculture read an official denial of the statements made recently by Mr Holland, regarding the export of rat infested and tubercular meat. - \ Mr Massey said the matter was too important to stop there. The statements would be quoted really by our competitors in the meat trade. He would consult his colleagues with the object of arranging an exhaustive inquiry. The Minister of Internal Affairs told the Houso that the Racing Commission would visit all districts where extra toalisator permits were asked and it would take evidence.
