A bad feeling which, since the 1917 strike, has existed between the Sydney Coal Lumpers’ Union and the Port Jackson Coal Lumpers’ Union, culminated to-day in Several fights, wherein a number were injured. The former union was the original body which was by the Government deregistered as a result of the strike. The Port Jackson Union was formed out of some returned soldiers and others, who worked during the strike. Thp latter claim the trouble is the outcome of a scheme to displace the strike breakers. The police erstored peace and arrested five men.
