STAFFORD NEWS.
(Our own correspondent.) \mongst the list of successful students at the Victoria College Annual Examinations appears the name of Mr |R. J. Sandlo, second son of Mr and Airs H. W- Sandle of Stafford, who ,passed in th 0 following subjects: jElnglish (Language and Literature Preliminary, Class U, Pass. Education Pass, First Class. Geography, Pass Class 11. Provisional Matriculation, Pa s s. “The Professorial Board is recoin-, mending the Senate to confirm promatriculation as from beginning of 1920.” (vide N.Z. “Times”, October 28th.) It may be remembered by Mr H. J. Saflidle’s friends that seventeen'; days after landing in New Zealand (after serving in tlie N.Z.M.C. attached to the 19th. Reinforcements and in th 0 No 2 N.Z. Field Ambulance Corps in France and Belgium) that lie was appointed relieving headmaster of the Kakalle school till the Christmas holidays 1919. After the holdidays ho filled a similar position at Utiku for about a month He then decided to take a College course, with the above results. It is his intention to continue in the teaching profession.
