METEOROLOGICAL.
The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong and veering by West to North. Weather probably cold and changeable the night will probably be very coldi. 'Barometer has little movement, but falling after about 16 hours. Seas rough, tides good, swell on the Coast.
RAID FOR ARMS. LONDON, Oct. 29. " l\vo policemen at Rotliwell mining village in Scotland, surprised some armed men in attempting a raid for arms upon a drill hall of the 6th. Scottish Rifles. The men opened fire, wounding a policeman seriously. No arrests were made. It is stilted the men were supposed to be Sinn Feiners.
