The Delawanna recently ' won the sailing championship of Lunenburg. Nova Scotia fishing fleet were immediately challenged by the Esperanto, the champion of Gloucester (Massachusetts) fishing fleet. Each craft is man. ned by twenty-five fishing shippers. Fisher folk from the far north of Labrador journeyed to Halifax to see the contest. The betting in coastal cities was keener than in the Shamrock-Re-solute race. The winner of two out of three races gets the Cup and purse. RESULT OF RACE. HALIFAX, (Nova Scotia) Oct. 30 The American fishing schooner, Esperanto beat the Canadian Delawanna, a schooner in the first three races for the International Championship of the North Aflantio, over a forty mile course.
